Eagle Point Energy Center LLC (“EPEC”) is a waste-to-energy facility located in Orrington, Maine. The facility can generate up to 25MW of electricity by processing municipal solid waste as a fuel source. This process reduces the volume of solid waste entering Maine’s landfill systems by up to 90%.

EPEC receives solid waste from municipalities and commercial waste haulers. The facility plays an important role in Maine’s solid waste management hierarchy and presents a viable and proven option for reducing landfill volumes in addition to the production of consistent renewable energy.

EPEC is committed to providing a safe and supportive workplace as well as environmental stewardship. EPEC is supported by the member communities participating in its waste-to-energy process.
